Sarah’s Thanks to Her Father-in-Law
Truth be told, I admired my father-in-law. While he may seem easy going, you could see he also is disciplined. You could actually see that his love for his family and children, as well as their dog, is one that is never-ending, regardless he was diagnosed with mesothelioma by mesothelioma specialists. I met him when my husband and I arrived from a motorcycle ride.
We got to the garage after the ride. I had to wear a jacket I don’t like but little did I know I had admired the craftsmanship of the Harley Davidson jacket my husband got for me. I remember that my father-in-law was sitting on a chair as we browsed through an auto magazine, eating his saltine crackers and jelly.
The soonest his father noticed he had a guest, my father-in-law greeted me in a somewhat flirty manner and gave my son the assurance that I could take jokes as he winked at me. Without hesitation, I replied introducing my name, “Sarah”, as I displayed an honest smile. Thing is that I did not find it offending in some way but rather, I remembered my grandfather as they share the very same attitude. Remembering how important it is and how things would have changed if only we had found mesothelioma specialists earlier, it would not have been such a struggle for my father-in-law.
Time has passed and we were blessed with 2 kids. Whenever we get to visit their house, he is always there doing the same thing, reading a magazine as he enjoys a snack beside him. Everything was changed the moment I noticed things were not the same as how it was before. It was really odd for me to see that he does not have the snack beside him that made me think something really is up. Stopping from time to time to catch his breath is what slowed him down as my mother in law called him while I set the table.
I had remembered back then that my friend shared a story about his father’s diagnosis, which basically is the same as what my father-in-law is showing recently. The issue was tried and resolved by countless professionals, only to find that his father was diagnosed with mesothelioma. The gears that the firefighters wear back in the days actually were made with asbestos fiber and asbestos. It is true that firefighters really need to seek out professional mesothelioma specialists to ensure they are checked and diagnosed accordingly.
It took me a number of tries until we convinced my father-in-law to seek out the specializations and expertise of mesothelioma specialists. Generally speaking, it was too late for us to sought the expertise of mesothelioma specialists as my father-in-law died months later since diagnosed. Seeing how happy my father-in-law was when he was at Florida Keys is what decided us to want to spread his ashes there.
